An 85-year old Lowndes County woman, charged with shooting her daughter, is being booked right now in the Lowndes County jail.

Ruth Bennett Lott is charged with aggravated assault.

Investigators say she shot 56-year old Debra Brown during an argument at their home on Howell road in Lowndes County this morning.

Brown's head was grazed by the bullet and she did not require hospitalization.

Investigators say the women got into an argument just after 8:30 this morning, Lott got a handgun, and fired at Brown.

Brown was able to wrestle the gun away from her mother and call for help.
