It's always special when a football player's life long dream of making an NFL roster comes true and even more special if he wasn't even drafted. Such is the case for former Valdosta State linebacker Larry Dean. The 6 foot 230 pounder was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Minnesota Vikings and has made the final 53 man roster to start the season.
Dean was one of five linebackers to stay with the Vikings through the final round of cuts this weekend. The former NCAA Division II National Player of the Year finished his career as the Gulf South Conference leader in tackles. He'll begin his NFL career on Sunday when the Vikings play at San Diego.
