The Albany State Rams wasted no time in adding some drama to its 2011 season. Stanley Jennings scored on a 12 yard scramble with just 26 seconds remaining to give ASU the 37-34 win over Savannah St. in the Music City Classic. The Rams scored the first 3 touchdowns of the game in the first half on passes from Jennings to transfer Ronnie Tubbs and 2 passes to Octavius Staton.
The Tigers, however, were not deterred and took a 27-22 lead in the 4th quarter before Jennings led the Rams on the game winning drive. Jennings finished the game with 240 yards passing. ASU moves to 1-0 on the year and will host Wingate in its home opener next Saturday in Albany.
