ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Family and friends of the young man murdered at the Sand Trap lounge last weekend held a candle light vigil for him Saturday night.

They gathered around Turtle Park downtown to honor 25-year-old Deandre Williams who was shot to do death early Sunday morning in the side parking lot of the Sand Trap.

Family says there is too much violence at the club. People signed a petition to have it shut down.

"We want the Sand Trap closed, said family friend," Carteesa Spears. "There is always something. Other businesses are already closing. So we are going to get together and complain too because we don't want this to happen again"

Police are still searching for the killer. If you have any information you're urged to call crime stoppers at (229) - 436-TIPS.
