CORDELE (WALB) - A Georgia State trooper had to stop a train last night in Cordele after two men he was chasing abandoned their car on railroad tracks.

The chase only lasted a minute before the driver wrecked.

He and the passenger ran off, leaving the car on the tracks at 11th Avenue and 2nd Street.

The trooper got in touch C-S-X to stop an approaching train.

The car is a beige, 1999 Le Sabre with a Crisp County tag.

If you have any information call the State Patrol.
