Knights get week to improve

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Deerfield-Windsor opened their season two weeks ago with a very convincing win over rival Sherwood Christian.

To a veteran head coach like Allen Lowe, there was plenty he saw in that first game that has to change if his Knights are going to win a third state title in four years.

The Knights have had a week to address some of those issues and now get ready for a road trip to Macon to play Stratford Academy.

The Eagles are a traditional GISA power and will provide the early season test the defending state champs need so early in the season.

Coach Lowe says the biggest thing he wants to see is if his players can make it through a 48 minute game.

Allen Lowe said. "For one we have got to get in shape better and out knowledge of what we do offensively. I thought defensively we played pretty well overall. We have got to get in a better flow where everybody is on the same page on every play."

Game time is 7:30 p.m. Friday in Macon.
