The Albany Area Chamber of Commerce is honored for doing a good job spreading the word about Albany businesses.
The Chamber won an award for Communications Excellence from the American Chamber of Commerce Executives for the third straight year.
The competition drew 83 entries from chambers throughout the country.
The Albany Chamber's business magazine received the bronze award.
"What that shows is we may be living in a part of our United States that is smaller than many of our metro cities but we can compete just as head on as anybody else and that is something to celebrate," says Catherine Glover, Albany Area Chamber of Commerce President/CEO.
There are 7,500 chambers throughout the U.S.
The last two years, the Albany Area Chamber also won 2nd place in the nation for Chamber of the year.
