ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Some south Georgia residents got a lesson on re-districting and how it's going to effect our area.

State representative Carol Fullerton held a town hall meeting. She showed people how each district would change.

Fullerton's expanded further south into Dougherty County, across the marine base, to Mock Road Elementary, ASU and up to the northern part of the county.

Winfred Dukes' district picked up Miller and Seminole Counties and parts of south and west Albany.

Representative Ed Rynders, who serves Lee County, will no longer represent Dougherty. Fullerton says he'll still work with people here since he's represented our county for so long.

Senator Freddy Powell Sims' district has shifted. Sumter County is now split between her and Senator George Hooks.
