ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A former Dougherty County Commissioner, who is a convicted felon, plans to run for an Albany City Commission seat.
Victor Edwards will announce Saturday he's challenging Tommie Postell in Ward Five.
Edwards served time in federal prison for money laundering after undercover agents arrested him for buying a half kilo of cocaine in 1993.
His mother, Muarlean, is a Dougherty County Commissioner.
