    A Dougherty County rape crisis center hopes to raise $15,000 at a tasty event Thursday night at the Merry Acres Event Center. The Lily Pad Center provides support services to more than 300 child victims
     The Lily Pad Center provides support services to more than 300 child victims and roughly 150 adults every year. About two hundred people are expected to show up for the fourth annual 'Farm to Fork' Fundraiser.

The Flint River Chapter of the American Red Cross in Albany has sent their Emergency Response Vehicle to Massachusetts.

The 'ERV' left just before 11:00 this morning with stops in Atlanta to pick up personnel.

It will head for a staging area in Massachusetts to wait further instruction on it's duties in the hurricane relief effort.

Interim Red Cross Director Nigel Poole says the vehicle is heading to Americus, then to Atlanta, then on to Massachusetts.

The ERV  is one of 200 vehicles that's been called into action for the Red Cross Hurricane Irene relief effort.
