D.A. appreciates Grady Co. law enforcement

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - An area prosecutor says thanks to law enforcers he works with to put criminals behind bars.

About 50 officials from seven agencies attended a law enforcement appreciation luncheon in Cairo today hosted by South Georgia District Attorney Joe Mulholland. He talked to them about new victims rights laws.

Mulholland says it's important for him to keep an open line of communication with law enforcers. "You know the key is communication and making sure we're all on the same page because we're all one family. Making sure the victims are happy and satisfied with the court system and making sure law enforcement is happy with how our cases are handled in our offices is very important. Those are the two main things we look for."

Mulholland had a similar event in Bainbridge yesterday and will complete the three day series tomorrow in Camilla.
