VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

A lumber company in Valdosta has ramped up utility pole production as they do every hurricane season.

Officials at Langdale Forest Products say they have plenty of inventory to help take care of damage from Hurricane Irene.

Langdale produces more than 600 poles a day.

When the timber comes in, it's sent through this pole peeler, piled high, and readied for shipment.

Offiicals say they're ready to respond to emergency calls and send products up the east coast if the hurricane knocks down power poles.
