Agents say that police responded to the apartment because of a burglar alarm. Officers found the back door broken open and went inside. That's where they detected a strong odor of marijuana, and saw pot in plain view.More >>
Five suspected gang members made their first appearance in court this morning on charges they shot at an Albany Police officer.
Officer Dillard Glover was shot at when he responded to a call on East Residence Avenue yesterday morning.
He was not injured, but the back passenger window of his patrol car was shot out.
Sean Frazier,Cortavis Davis, Michael Stephens, Roger Farmer and Stephen Washington are charged with gang participation and aggravated assault.
Farmer is also charged with obstruction of an officer and possession of a gun during a crime, and gang participation.
Washington is also charged with street gang activity.
They all five appeared before a magistrate judge at 8:30 am.
