ATLANTA, GA (WALB) - Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson is a master of the option offense.
Georgia Tech running back Roddy Jones has shown he knows Jackets option offense as well as the coaching staff.
Jones has started 39 games in Johnson's offense and has rushed for almost 1400 yards in three seasons.
With Anthony Allen now gone, Jones is now the veteran in the Jackets backfield and he is ready to teach his knowledge of the option game to a number of talent young backs including Deerfield-Windsor's Tony Zenon.
Roddy Jones said. "I want to go out. I want to help the young guys learn so they can come out and contribute. Just do whatever is asked. Whether it is running the ball or blocking, I am just going to try to help the team get back to the Orange Bowl."
Georgia Tech opens the season September 1st at home against Western Carolina.
