ATHENS, GA (WALB) - The 19th ranked Georgia Bulldogs have started their work for their season opener a week from Saturday against 5th ranked Boise State.
Boise State is not only one of the top five teams in the nation.
Their offense was second in the country in scoring.
The Georgia defense knows they have a challenge against a Boise State offense that is led by quarterback Kellen Moore.
Free safety Shawn Williams knows he and the rest of the Bulldog secondary face a big challenge in their first game.
The junior from Early County High has already met one challenge this camp in winning the starting free safety job.
After starting three games last season, Williams and the rest of the defense feeling better in defensive coordinator Todd Grantham's 3-4 scheme.
Shawn Williams said. "We are very comfortable with it. We got all the plays well not the plays but we have so far. We know that down to that. We know everything know. This time last year I was running around. Just running. Hopefully, I can make a play and be right."
Georgia plays Boise State in the Chick Fil-A Kickoff Classic on September 3rd at the Georgia Dome.
Kickoff is at 8:00 p.m..
