Greenwave want to roll on to next level

DAWSON, GA (WALB) - Terrell County has made the state playoffs four of the last six seasons.

 To make that next step, the Greenwave are going to need some younG players to step up.

Terrell County returns just three starters on both sides of the ball.

One of those is quarterback Jerkerrious Scott.

Scott is a three-year starter and one of this to weapons will be running back Basheer Rogers and tight end Dekoven Ware.

Ware is also a leader on the defense at end and Jovante Daniels is moving from corner to free safety.

Coach Huff wants to see his team not just make the playoffs but win some playoff games.

Getting to the postseason will not easy this year in region 1-A.

William Huff said. "Seminole and Mitchell county are going to be tough again. Any other team Miller, Randolph, Calhoun they are all going to be a challenge for us. Even Stewart-Quitman is getting a lot better. We really have got to be ready for our region play."

Terrell County opens the season at Monroe Friday night at Hugh Mills Stadium.
