A candle vigil was held Saturday night in Thomas County in remembrance of Savannah Singletary, a Brookwood Sophomore, killed Friday in a jet skiing accident.

Singletary was a student athlete that played Varsity basketball, softball, and track. She also has a passion for riding horses and was an avid equestrian.

She was riding a jet ski last night on a private lake in Ochlocknee when she crashed. Coaches and teachers alike say that she was a sweet and humble girl that got along with everyone and she will be truly missed.

Singletary's Coach Chris Seay hopes that her life is an inspiration for his athletes and says "Never take anything for granted one second they can be here next day the can be gone so live everyday like your last play every play like your last play."
