Search and rescue team starts Explorers program

Posted: Updated:

Some area emergency responders are trying to get kids interested in their work.

The Albany Dougherty Search and Rescue Team is starting an Explorers Program to teach teens what the team does.

It's organized through the Boy Scouts, but you don't have to be a scout to participate.

They're having an organizational meeting for kids ages 14 to 17 Saturday at Albany Fire Station number 2 on Palmyra Road.

It starts at 9:30 in the morning.
