A longtime Albany City Commissioner plans to run for re-election.
Jon Howard announced today he will run for a fifth term.
He has represented east Albany's first ward for 16-years and hopes to make it 20.
Howard is the senior member of the commission.
He's known for his efforts to fight gangs and clean up blighted parts of his district and also for his votes deny all alcohol license applications.
Election Day is November 8th.
