WASHINGTON, DC -

The latest Gallup Poll shows that its respondents to a recent survey don't like the job Barack Obama is doing running the nation.

Their survey showed Monday that the group Gallup tested approved of Obama's performance at a rate of 39%.

Over half, 54%, disapproved the president's performance.

Gallup says: "President Obama's job approval rating for the first 10 days of August is 4 percentage points lower than it was in the first week of July, significantly less of a drop than the 19-point decline in Gallup's Economic Confidence Index over the same period."

Obama's Gallup job approval average to date is 50%.

Meanwhile, The Rasmussen Poll shows Barack Obama's 'approval index,' the difference between 'strongly approve' and 'strongly disapprove,' is a negative 22. This mark is his worst ever in this poll, and is five points worse that it was a year ago.
