ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany State head coach Mike White says his Golden Rams have miles to go before they are ready for their first game in three weeks.
The Golden Rams held their first practice in full pads Friday morning.
The session last just over two hours.
Coach White says he is still waiting for one of his young linebackers to step up and show they are ready to lead the defense.
The offense is a different story.
The coach says they have had a very good first week of practice.
Quarterback Stanley Jennings said. "We are hitting everything. Run plays and the offensive line with little things like jumping offsides. They don't budge or anything like that. We are working very hard. Everybody seems to know what they are doing now."
Albany State will hold a two-a-day practice on Saturday.
