ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A new restaurant is hoping to attract families to downtown Albany. The Pizza Shop opened last week on West Broad next to Cafe 230.

Its buffet has been open for lunch. Now it's serving made-from-scratch pizzas Thursdays and Fridays for dinner.

The owners had help from their family who owned Mama Gina's before it closed.

"You wont find anything that's made daily fresh," said Elisa Darrah with The Pizza Shop.

The Pizza Shop is open Sunday through Wednesday 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., and Thursday and Friday from 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
