WALB News 10 confirms a Georgia Power lineman was electrocuted while working on a power line in Tift County.
Steve Sellers of Colquitt County died near the Tift/Berrien County line last night while working on power lines brought down during a storm.
A Georgia power lineman was electrocuted last night when he went to repair a downed power line.
Around 10:00 Tuesday night, emergency workers were called to Highway 82 just east of Brookfield Georgia.
48-year old Steven Sellers was working to repair a downed power line after last night's storm, when he was electrocuted.
Two other employees were on the scene with him and even tried to perform CPR on Sellers, but he was pronounced dead Tift Regional Medical Center.
Sellers worked for Georgia Power for over three years.
