DAWSON, GA (WALB) -After a rebuilding year last season, Terrell Academy is wanting to get back on top in GISA's Class A this season.
The Eagles lost just four seniors from last year's squad that still made it to the state semifinals.
Terrell Academy also gets back quarterback Chris Rogers who went down in week three last year with a knee injury.
With Rogers under center, the Eagles look to open up the playbook and get the ball to backs Todd Beaver and Josh Wardrip and receivers Josh Brunswick, Zac Hurst and Blake Grimsley.
The Eagles know they need that firepower to compete in a region with defending state champion and rival Westwood.
Bill Murdock said "We like to throw the ball. Get it and do some different stuff in screens and that type of game. We run the football out of the spread. We can really be able to throw it around with Chris."
Terrell Academy opens at home against Thomas Jefferson on August 26th.
