The Blazers are projected to finish 3rd in the Gulf
South Conference after finishing 2nd last season with a 6-2 record. Head coach David Dean says the strength of this year's team will be the offensive line with most of them returning.
Quarterbacks Austen Roberts and Brett Whitmire will battle it out for the starting qb spot.
Linebacker Japree Miles and safety Harrison Dreiling are expected to lead the defense.
And although practice could have been more smooth coach Dean was encouraged with what he saw.
David Dean said. "In your first day off practice, there's a lot of rust that's got to be knocked off but for the most part our energy was there our focus was there and that's all you can ask for on the first day."
Quarterback Austen Roberts said. "Its been a long for all of us. its been alot of people here this summer working hard. Everybody is ready to get back out here and work as one as a family."
