Albany city commissioners want to make sure the Water Gas and Light Commission is paying its fair share to the city.

The Commission asked City Manager James Taylor to review WG&L's finances to ensure the utility is forwarding the proper amount of money to the city.

Commissioner Tommy Postell says he's concerned that WG&L has failed to give the city enough of its non-metered revenue.

"It is not fair its not fair its not paid its your obligation that the water gas and light have because water gas and light is under control of the city and if we don't correct whatever they're doing financially if it's a error then it makes the city look bad," says Commissioner Tommy Postell.

Non-metered revenue is money collected that is not directly related to water, gas or electricity consumption, including such things as late payment fees and connection charges.
