Coffee hoping offense will lead team to wins

Defense is supposed to win you championships.  Coffee High though is going to at first rely on their offense in their bid to win their first region title in nine years.  That is because the Trojans return just two starters on defense with juniors Raheem Brockington and Zach Moore.Moore was an-all region linebacker as a sophomore.

The offense is a different story with eight starters back including quarterback Will Gardner who has committed to Louisville.  The Trojans also return their entire offensive line who will look to pave the way for two talented running backs in Tyreek Hill and Tony Clark.

Coffee High is also planning to take advantage of their experience at quarterback.

Trojans head coach Ken Eldridge said "We have told him we are putting more stuff on him this year. It is going to be up to him to disperse the football around. One of the big things is going to be to get to Tyreek Hill who is just an exceptional athlete for us. Then the other thing is Tony Clark. We really think Tony Clark is going to come on and have a big year for us."

Coffee opens at home against Brunswick on August 19th.
