Plato's Closet is packed this morning with the grand opening of its newest location at 2524 Dawson Road in Albany.

With more than 300 stores across the nation, big crowds are typical at store openings, where used and consignment clothing is available for purchase.

The store's speciality is buying high-end gently-used clothes, especially designer brands, and re-selling them.

Jennifer Emert reports that shoppers were lined up at the doors at 8:00AM, and came from Edison and Perry. The closest Plato's is in Tallahassee.

A company spokesman says that "frugalistas [are] purchasing the merchandise they've been eyeing for weeks, when the store was only open to buy merchandise from the community.

We will have more on this story later today.
