Power restored in Valdosta

Posted: Updated:
VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

A tree that snapped in Valdosta Tuesday morning and left hundreds of Georgia Power customers without electricity.

This tree limb fell onto a truck. It also brought down a power line with it on Rogers Street around 8:30 Tuesday morning.

A chain reaction then caused this pole and transformer to hit the ground.

That sparked a fire.

Georgia Power crews worked quickly to make repairs and restored power to about 1,100 customers.
