Furniture stores work to save lives

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Two south Georgia business are teaming up to save lives. Aaron's Sales and Lease Ownership and Woodhaven Furniture Industries worked with Southeastern Community Blood Center to organize four blood drives in Thomasville, Cairo, and Coolidge.

All donors will be put in a drawing to win prizes such as Nascar tickets, Wild Adventures passes, and restaurant vouchers. "The blood that we collect goes to our local area hospitals so you're actually helping patients right here in our area. So it's very important. You could potentially be saving someone that you know," said Community Relations Representative Claire Bowen.

All blood types are needed. Drive dates, times, and contact info are listed below.
