Albany trauma specialist say most of the trauma cases they see result from car crashes, and too many of those crashes are caused by distracted drivers. Now they're spreading a message in honor of Trauma Awareness Month.More >>
100 years ago today, Phoebe Putney opened its doors. Monday, the hospital threw parties for employees.
They also unveiled the 2011 Easter Seals Christmas ornament, which depicts the hospital. Black and white drawings of the hospital were displayed.
The artist spent more than 70 hours on the drawings.
"The whole idea is to preserve building that have disappeared or will disappear. We want people to be able to see them in the future," said Artist Melissa Tubbs.
The drawings and Easter Seals ornament can be purchased at the gift shop in the hospital.
All money raised will benefit Phoebe Putney's Endowment Fund.
