ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Two state titles and a state runner-up finish over the last three years have made Deerfield-Windsor one of the premiere programs in the GISA.
The Knights have some holes to fill after losing ten seniors including quarterback Banks Kinslow, running back Davis Moore, linebacker Rhett Cooper and the entire secondary.
Head coach Allen Lowe says Dallas Margeson is ready to step up at quarterback with backs Quentin Heard and Gaughf Ivey returning.
The Knights backfield also welcomes the return of Kh'ron McClain.
Heard and Ivey will also anchor the defense along with linebacker James Tyson and defensive end Matt Miller.
Allen Lowe said. "We have some guys that have been waiting their turn. We feel good about what we have got. We have got to grow up in a hurry in some areas. Defensively, we still think we will be good enough to slow people down. Offensively, we just have got to find a way to put points on the board."
Deerfield-Windsor opens the season on August 19th at Sherwood Christian.
