Lee County's Davis hopes to score big in AGT voting

WALB will air NBC's America's Got Talent tonight at 9:00, and South Georgia has a contestant in the running.

Lee County native Taylor Davis has impressed judges and voters to make it this far through the competition, and needs more support in tonight's voting.

Having survived three cuts that saw the field narrowed from 48 to 23, Davis certainly has plenty of talent, and whether he wins on the TV show or not won't diminish that.

He's pretty much a self-taught musician. He sings, plays guitar, and keyboards, and it all started at his Lee Co. church.

Who knows? He could become another Luke Bryan, who became a Country Music superstar, from Lee County...

    Dougherty Co. students are now out of school for the summer and the City of Albany wants to inform students about various summer programs. Fight Albany Blight will host a Summer Youth Programs Fair on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Mt. Olive Community Recreational Center.
