Students weren't the only ones getting the free school supplies. Teachers got in on the action at Staples.
Saturday July 30th, is Staples national appreciation day for teachers. The store gave out goody bags to help them start the year off right.
Due to teachers having to buy their own supplies, Staples wanted to help out.
"It's very important for Staples, because we want everyone to be ready for school. We try to give an opportunity for students and teachers to be successful," said Assistant Manager Greg Demery.
More than 200 teachers waited in line to get the extra supplies Saturday morning.
