Joyner to lead ASU offense, Rams hire Livingston

The Albany State Ram football team boasted the top offense in the SIAC last season and hopes to continue that going into 2011 but the team has been without an official offensive coordinator all the summer until now.

Quarterbacks coach Uyl Joyner has been officially named as the next offensive coordinator at Albany State. Joyner is an ASU alumnus and was the fire behind Rams QB Stanley Jennings winning the conference MVP last season. He takes over for Steve Smith who left to take a job at Tennessee State.

ASU also named former Morgan State offensive line coach and coordinator Lawrence Livingston as the team's new offensive line coach. Rams head coach Mike White is extremely happy to have Joiner still with the program after all these years

White said "I told him that when he was player here we were excited about the opportunity if we could hire him. So chances are 7 years later he's our new offensive coordinator"

Joyner said "It's a great feeling to be able to comeback and get this type of position at a school where you played at that's just a great feeling"
