GA Marine asks Johansson to Marine Corps Ball

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany Marine hopes to take the prettiest belle to the ball. He took to YouTube to invite one of Hollywood's hottest stars to be his date to the Marine Corps ball here in November.

His invitation did get Scarlett Johansson's attention.

Sgt. Dustin L. Williams spent plenty of time shooting his video to invite actress Scarlett Johansson to the Marine Corps ball in Albany.

After commending Sgt. Williams for his bravery, dedication to our nation, and cheeky talent for filmmaking, Johansson replied.

"I feel incredibly honored to have been invited to the Marine Corps Ball by Sgt. Dustin L. Williams...unfortunately due to prior commitments I will not be able to attend the Ball with you this year but I am sending you a case of Moet & Chandon with gratitude," said Johansson

Even though we talked with Sgt. Williams over the phone Thursday, the other Devil Dogs in his pack didn't want him to go on camera with WALB.

Another celebrity A-lister, Mila Kunis, did accept a video invite from a Marine in Greenville, North Carolina to attend his ball.

Other Marines have also recently sent invitations to such celebrities as Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake,  and south Georgia's own Luke Bryan.
