Agents say that police responded to the apartment because of a burglar alarm. Officers found the back door broken open and went inside. That's where they detected a strong odor of marijuana, and saw pot in plain view.More >>
At 6:44 Thursday morning, the Miller/Baker 911 received a call from a motorist about a vehicle in a ditch off Milford Church Road.
The caller noted that there was a person inside this green Mercury Grand Marquis.
First responders found the body of 32-year-old William Antoine Flake in the car.
Neighbors say they're in disbelief that this could happen on their road.
Dick Cook's daughter lives feet from the scene. "My daughter called me from that house. I'm nervous," said Cook.
There was no visible damage to the car. There also weren't any apparent skid marks left by the car.
Family members were at the scene, but did not want to talk to us. The body will be transported to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy.
