Residents of Martin Terrace apartments say 22-year-old Jerry Bodiford was shot and killed in the complex. According to neighbors, Bodiford stopped breathing after he was shot.

They say it was a fight, between two groups of men, and somebody pulled out a gun. After the crowd dispersed, they saw Jerry Bodiford lying on the ground.

Thomasville residents Frank Williams, Jr., 20,  and Shadrick Killens, 20, are both charged with felony murder and aggravated assault.

Police say Bodiford was shot during a drive-by shooting. He was not the intended target, but they do not know who was. Williams was the passenger and Killens was the driver of the car.

Bodiford was taken by ambulance to Grady General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Killens and Williams are being held at the Grady County Detention Center awaiting arraignment.

The GBI, Grady County Sheriff's Office, and Whigham Police assisted in the matter. The call came in at 10:48 Wednesday night.
