Sonic employee robbed at SB&T bank

Albany police need your help in finding a robber.  A sonic employee was robbed Thursday morning, just as he was making the store's deposit.

Police say it happened around one o'clock at SB& T bank on Dawson Road. The employee was approached by a masked man acting like he had gun.

The thief got away with an undisclosed amount of cash on foot. If you have any information on this crime call crime-stoppers at 436-Tips.

At approximately 0108 hours, a Sonic Employee was approached by an unknown suspect while he was attempting to make a bank deposit, for the business, at the SB and T Bank located at 2819 Old Dawson Road.

The victim told police that he was sitting in his car preparing to make the deposit when the suspect came over to the driver's side of his vehicle and demanded the bank bag. The victim complied and the suspect then fled the scene on foot.

Additional Information: The victim told police that the suspect made a gesture as if he was armed when he made his demands but further stated that he did not see a weapon but believed he had one. The suspect was wearing a mask. There is no further information regarding a physical description at this time.

Officers diligently canvassed the area in an attempt to locate the suspect but at this time no arrests have been made. They are also working with bank Officials to obtain additional information regarding this robbery.
