Downtown merchants are getting in the act to bring more positive attention to the downtown area.

'Wine-Down-Wednesdays' is an event held each week. It allows young professionals to mingle while they enjoy a little music and good food .

"Its the middle of the week and we want to give you a little more inspiration. But most of all we bring together business professionals, people in management or even just the average person. And we come together put our ideas together see what comes out of it," says Downtown Merchant and Vice president of the Downtown Merchants Association Tosh Terrell Sevier.

Chill Bar and Lounge on West Broad hosts the event.

Vendors and artists are also welcome.
