A summer camp is teaching life skills to help students start off the school year right.

Kids splashed around and had some fun at the 4-H camp in Lake Park.

This is the seventh annual Life Steps Summer Camp put on by King Solomon Missionary Church.

Inner city kids ages 5 to 14 learned to say no to drugs and gangs and learned about leadership and respect.

"We learn how to respect others and their space and to respect ourselves mostly because if you don't respect yourselves you can't respect anyone else," said Ethel Martin.

Life Steps is a two-day camp held each summer.
