Some out of town teens are helping clean up Albany.

40 members of the youth group from Jacksonville Beach United Methodist Church helped paint the Carver and Thornton gyms in Albany.

The teens also filled 40 bags with litter from streets and helped out with vacation bible schools.

One of the teens told us working outside her own community and comfort zone will pay off in the future.

"It's definitely different, but it's a good experience for all of us. I'm going to high school next year so that means I get to go to Jamaica, so it's good experience to get started doing missionary trips and serving the community."

This is the fourth year in a row the group has come to do volunteer work in Albany.
