THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - A Thomas County truck driver and his passenger were arrested Saturday for possession of ice, a purer and more addictive form of meth.
A tractor-trailer was parked with the hood up at a gas station on US 19 South. Narcotics agents got a tip that drugs were in the truck.
They got permission from the driver, Jared Fowler, to search the vehicle. "And we found a smoking device in a cellophane wrap containing ice and another cellophane wrap which did contain ice and still had residue in it," said Narcotics Commander Kevin Lee.
Ashley Sorrow was a passenger in the rig. She admitted to using the ice the night before.
Fowler and Sorrow are charged with possession of methamphetamine.
