SUMTER COUNTY, GA (WALB) - The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a plane crash that injured two people Sunday night in Sumter County.
Sheriff, Pete Smith, has confirmed the plane crashed on Highway 377 between mile marker eight and nine.
The pilot was running out of fuel. He landed in a soybean field around 7:30 p.m.
The pilot and one other person inside were treated and released from the hospital..
They're expected to be okay.
