Five months after the mysterious murder of a Coffee County woman, people gathered Tuesday night in Douglas to remember her and to launch a community effort to make sure her case isn't forgotten. Friends
People gather to bring attention to one of many unsolved murders of women in Coffee County.

Dozens of South Georgians enjoyed a day of fun at Albany Technical college.

The college held a Community Family and Friends Day.

People got to see program showcases, a car and bike show, and even got free food.

There were plenty of games and activities for children including a petting zoo and fingerprinting.

Albany Tech President Dr. Anthony Parker says he wants to show off what the school can offer.

"It's wonderful. We like seeing people from the community out on our campus. We don't want to be a secret. We want to be well known. We want people to know what we do and how proud we are of what we do," said Dr. Parker.

Applications fees were waived for people who applied today.
