Kids from ages five to sixteen were at Darton College today taking part in the Go Hard Training basketball camp. Camp organizer Ravii Givens has hosted several camps throughout this year. More than sixty five kids are taking part in this weekends camp.
Fifteen coaches, many with college and pro experience, are coaching the kids through drills and competitions. The camp is teaching and sharpening the offensive and defensive skills of the players. While many of the kids said they felt like they were learning a lot about basketball, Givens says he wants the Go Hard theme to apply to every aspect of their lives.
Givens said "The most important message is to work hard. To go hard at anything you do in life. If it's basketball, go hard. If it's education, go hard. Go hard at anything you do in life."
Saturday was the final day of this weekend's camp but Givens says he will hold other camps throughout the rest of they year.
