Coffee County has a new school superintendent.
Dr. Morris Leis was selected by a vote of 5-0 after the other finalist, interim Superintendent Dr. David Butch Mosely withdrew his name at the last minute.
In January, Dr. Steve Wilmoth resigned as superintendent.
Dr. Leis is currently the superintendent in Wayne County but he plans to start work in Coffee County in the next couple of weeks.
