A Tifton man has just been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Sunday Blombergh.
Herman Evans entered guilty plea Monday afternoon to Malice murder in the brutal death of Blombergh, who was his step-daughter-in law.
She was shot, strangled and stabbed and then dumped near Warrior Creek at the Tift/Colquitt County line in 2010.
Herman Evans' wife Ruby is also charged with the murder, as is Blombergh's husband, Theo Conoly.
Blombergh was living with Herman and Ruby Evans, and prosecutors say they killed her because she planned to move away with their granddaughter.
Evans was scheduled to go on trial August 1st.
