Time has run out for the owners of the old Heritage House in Albany to secure the building.
The City Attorney authorized code enforcement to repair the hole in the fence, and send the bill to the owner.
Three weeks ago, the city sent a letter to Greenbrier Holdings & Investments and owner Romeo Comeau. It ordered the owners to secure the property from casual entry, repair the fence, and secure the swimming pool so it doesn't allow for stagnant standing water to breed mosquitoes.
Monday none of the items have been addressed. Code Enforcement put up a new sign warning the building is unsafe and people should keep out. Code enforcement expects to make the fence repairs by week's end.
The city will ask a judge to include the cost of repairs in the lien they've filed against the building. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
