AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - A move to Georgia Southwestern has really paid for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes summer football camp.
Albany, Westover and Worth County are among the seven teams participating in the FCA camp.
Atkinson County, Tiftarea, Morgan and West Laurens High are also taking part in the three day camp.
The skills players are battling in seven on seven passing games while the linemen get to work during their own camp.
With practice starting in two weeks, these coaches love the chance to get their teams off to make sure they are ready for the hot August sun.
Area director Bill Cox says FCA camp focuses on perspiration during the day and inspiration at night.
The good news for the players is the summer heat has eased a bit this week.
Bill Cox said. "It is not quite as humid today. We have only had one little rainout and that was last year. This is not as bad so far."
The FCA Football Camp runs through Wednesday at Georgia Southwestern State University.
